Calculation assumptions and formulas
One cylinder with a direct axial load; g = 9,80665 m/s². Assumptions: 15% pressure allowance and 85% overall power efficiency. Q × 3 minutes is only an initial tank estimate; thermal calculations and duty-cycle checks are required.
A = πD²/4 (retraction: π(D²−d²)/4), Q = A × stroke × 60 / (time × 10⁶), p = load × g × 10 / A × 1,15, P = p × Q / (600 × 0,85).
Basic SI formulas: Parker ↗A start for preliminary design.
